Requirements to join BlueStar

At BlueStar, we are interested in partnering with the best mechanics/shops in each local area. We also limit the number of mechanics/shops in any particular zip code. As such, BlueStar certified mechanics/shops must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Have been in business at least three years.
  • Have at least one ASE certified technician on staff.
  • Be in good standing with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
  • Have good reviews on google and other rating sites.
  • Do not have any conflict of interest that would prevent you from providing an honest, unbiased inspection on the vehicle (i.e. do not have ownership in any company selling used vehicles).
  • Agree to be trained on and implement BlueStar’s detailed 150-point mechanical and maintenance inspection procedures.
