Consumer Information
BLUESTAR collects identifying and billing information including name, address, credit card information, e-mail address, and vehicle information at the time a consumer’s vehicle is inspected. This information is entered by the inspection station, but processed by BLUESTAR. The credit card information you provide is only used for billing and customer support purposes. BLUESTAR provides this information to a credit card processing company that bills you for the transaction(s). BLUESTAR will not willfully disclose any credit card information for any other purpose, unless required to do so by law.
Any personally identifiable information or vehicle information you provide to us in connection with ordering your BLUESTAR Inspection report may be used by BLUESTAR to notify you of new products, product changes and enhancements. We may use collected information to make changes to our products, as deemed necessary, and to continue to ensure your security and privacy online.
Non-Personal Information Collection and Uses BLUESTAR reserves the right to share non-personal information about our customers and their transactions, including the make and model of vehicle, and results of the BLUESTAR inspection with affiliated or unaffiliated third parties for market research, advertising or other purposes.

Third-Party Data Providers
BLUESTAR engages third-party data providers to facilitate the user experience. When the mechanic at an inspection station enters the VIN of a vehicle into the BLUESTAR website, the make, model and year of the vehicle is retrieved using a VIN decoder program provided by DataOne.
